Welcome To Our Learning Pad  Important Information Reading Home Journal Students are expected to read every night, Monday through Thursday for twenty minutes a night. I will be sending home a sheet for parents to sign off on for the first few weeks and then they will have Home Reading Journals each week to turn in on Friday. *I have introduced a new way for students to complete their home reading journal. I will continue to send home paper homework that can be turned in on Friday, but students will be able to write their reactions to their books on our kidblog. Incoming second graders will need to type their username is their first name with a capital in the beginning and the password is crew for you also. *Thanks for your help. ***New Math Site for*** Second Grade Students Another site that has been set up for second grade math students is Xtramath. Each child was given a flyer with their access code and pin number. This is a site to help students master their basic facts to 20.  Extra Clothing With all the time we spend outdoors, we sometimes need to change out of wet clothes. We try to stay dry, but sometimes it doesn't work out. This time of year we can use extra sweat pants, gloves, and socks.
